The Irrewarra Vineyard is a dry-farmed parcel in Western Victoria, planted in 2001 by the Calvert family, featuring 6 acres of Pinot Noir and two of Chardonnay. In 2012 the farming duties were assumed by the Farr family, whose Pinot Noir from nearby Moorabool Valley is widely considered the finest and most age-worthy in Australia. Nick Farr (2020 Australian Winemaker of the Year) straddles the Old World and the New with his Irrewarra wines. More savory than fruity on the palate, and firmly structured, they don't reveal themselves with out time in the glass. Decant and let stand for at least an hour before drinking.
