A savory and textured Pinot Noir from the minimal interventionist Ryan Roark. Bottled from two vineyards in the Santa Rita Hills, Walsh and Burning Creek, which straddles the AVA's boundary, otherwise this wine would have been labelled Santa Rita. This is a thoughtful and complex style, with a lot to offer the patient drinker. Dried fruit, some smoky earth, and a sneaky leafy quality. Great wine.
